The Aly Padula Rap

Yo! My name is Aly
I like to bake cookies
And attend Clemson pep rallies
I am not from California
But South Kackalacky
Where we drink sweet tea
And the people get roudy

You may have seen me

recently
In the Greenville News
As volunteer of the week
I am a good hearted person
But do not mess with me
Cuz' if you do I'll take you out
With my homies from the street

Also, if you mess with the kids in my kindergarden class
I will kick your ass.. tronout!

Or, I could just challenge you
To a game of Nertz
And make your head spin and go Bazerk
While I beat you with very little work

So, this is me
My name is Aly
Not Sally or Callie
Get it strait
Or I will not allow you to have
Any of those choclate chip cookies I just baked

Haha! Aly you are the BEST!

A huevo!!

"The Game"

1st Quarter

I am ready to play this game
The stands are full
Many people came
And I know that I will play so great
That by the end of the game
Everyone will know my name

Right now my head is so full of my future success
I know that in just a short time I can pass this simple test

2nd Quarter

I am a little more exhausted
This game is more difficult than I thought it

would be
You see

I get tired easily
The coach is yelling at me,
My knees are beginning to get weak
And I start to think

What the hek did I get myself into??
I really don't know if I can make it through..

3rd Quarter

I am even more worn out than before
My eyes keep looking at the door
And my body feels as though at any second it could collapse onto the floor
Ouch!! I think one of my ligaments has just torn!

Man, I am so sore
It just seems impossible that I can give much more..

But, the only thing that keeps me going
Is knowing
That the game is ending

I only have one quarter left
Which is all I need for me to reach success

4th Quarter

Yes, victory!

I could not have asked for a better feeling
Even after all of the pain
It was still worth making it to the end of the game
To win and receive all this praise

You know, I have to admit
That during the game I thought I would quit
Or just watch from the bench
But I didn't
I lived it
And the lesson it has taught me is this:

To never give up
Make it through the rain
Because its worth it to see the sun

"Natalie" by Florez

Hahha.. yall this is a song that laura discovered and its about this girl named Natalie and I thought I would put it on my blog because it pretty much fits everything about me! Except for the part where this girl can sing.. haha.. I definately cannot sing!

Song

Verse: Natalie, are you mad at me? Why don’t you ever return my calls? Did you lose my number or your mind? It makes me wonder. Natalie, it’s so sad to me: we could have been great together. But don’t tell me that it’s you not me cause that’s the worst line ever.

Prechorus: I wanted you so badly; my love you spit it at me. Blonde hair, blue eyes and the song you sang: it took my breath away.

Chorus: Na-na-na-na-na-na, You’ll never know this song’s about you. Na-na-na-na-na-na, I’m even better off without you. All you’ll ever be to me is just a memory, Natalie.

Verse: Natalie, it was maddening the way you led me on and on. Even when you were here you were already gone. Natalie, it’s a tragedy the way you left me in the dark. You left the game before you even let it start.

The Cage

I am a bird in a cage
trapped in this small space
that does not permit me to live in whatever place

I dream of flying away
because in my cage
I do not have room to fly very high
the limits I have fall way before the sky
And all I want is to be in a place where I have room to spread my wings, stretch my thighs
and let the life I choose be mine

So what I need, is for someone to take the key
push it through the keyhole
and open the door for me
I will fly away ever so happily
Because only then will I truely be free

My Worn Armor

When I was little I was the best at everything
sports, school, whatever thing
But, as I have gotten older
I have lost my edge
I am not quite the same soldier
The armor is more worn, older
and harder to hold up
But, I know that it can shine
All I have to do is repair the damage in due time
and the dreams I have can truely be called mine
